Cake Decorating Ideas

I love working with tiered cakes; I just think they are so much fun, and bring an unexpected burst of festivity to the party!

This Finding Nemo 3-tiered Cake is chocolate with cookies & cream filling on the bottom tier, and yellow with raspberry cream filling for the middle and top tiers.

My 3 year old is absolutely in love with Finding Nemo, so borrowing the technique found in the Whimsical Bakehouse cookbook, I made various Nemo characters out of melting chocolate. I placed the characters around the cake. The seaweed is also made out of chocolate. Additional details were added with buttercream frosting.
