How To Choose A Professional Cake Pan
I’m here today to talk about picking a pan and how to make a more professional cake. Many of the pans in the stores look similar to this in the fact that the sides of them are slightly slanted. Even the round pans will have slightly slanted sides.
What you want to look for is a pan that has a very straight side. Because then, when your ready to stack, especially if your using a square pan, they’re are going to be nice and straight. Where as when you stack two of these together your going to have a slat here and her because the edge here is going to be slightly larger than this side.
The same thing with a round pan. It also help to have a solid, good thick pan. As with most products be sure to read user reviews and check the manufactures warranty. A quality professional cake pan can last you several years and endure hours of baking. I’m sure you don’t want to be disappointed in your purchase when in six months the pan starts to rust or breaks. If you find a high quality professional cake pan with good reviews and it’s expensive, search the web for sales or coupons to help bring the price down.

When I made my daughter’s wedding cake last month, I bought Wilton’s square 3-pan set at
Michael’s. It was quite pricey, but I got a discount on it, so it cost almost half of the retail price.
Awesome! since I had so much other stuff to buy for the cake.
Good, quality pans can be expensive. Michael’s has an extensive cake decorating dept., & one
can also go online to find what stores don’t carry.
The cake turned out great, & was the hit of the party! Yay!!!
I purchased several of the Wilton pans and seriously regret their purchases. The metal is very thin and warped and buckled when heated, they have no real weight. I would strongly advice against using Wilton pans. Wilton does have some other great products for cake making and decorating just not their pans.
I have since purchased professional good quality baking pans from a restaurant and bakery supply store and love them!!
. They are worth their weight in gold and they were a bit on the pricey side but after figure out what I had spent on the inferior pans and repeatedly replacing them and what I spent on quality pans and the use I am getting of them, I have actually saved money in the long run! Now there is no going back!
Did you buy the Wiltons at WalMart? I heard that Walmart Wiltons pans are not of the same quality as their major outlets. Getting from a Wilsond dealer gives better quality.
