Cake Decorating Ideas

I made this cake for my friend’s daughter’s first birthday. The theme of the party was jungle animals. I made this cake with all the basic baking tools. I used a fondant rolling pin and mat while I formed the rest by hand.

This cake was one of my first creation using fondant as I’m still learning techniques. This cake is made out of cherry chip cake and homemade cream cheese frosting. I covered this cake in fondant and made the animals out of fondant. After, I placed all the animals on top. I love decorating cakes and baking anything. I’m currently a student at the Culinary Institute of Michigan and there to get my associates degree in baking and pastry arts.
