Last Minute Wedding Cake

First Name: Debbie
City-State: Brisbane, Australia

The cake is called: Last Minute Design

This is the night before my wedding and I had approx. 5 hours to design a wedding cake, I WAS UNDER ENORMOUS PRESSURE TO PULL IT OFF.

After Christmas they had Christmas cakes for sale at Woolworths and Bi Lo so I bought 2 of them. I PUT THE CAKES IN THE FREEZER until the eve of the wedding, I defrosted them and took the old white icing off as I had to join the cakes together.

Before putting the icing on I pasted the cake with marzipan. Found a website on the net on how to make plastic icing or fondant icing, which was an amazing help, it took time and patience to roll out the correct
thickness not to mention allowing it to be a round temperature.

I visited a local cake decoration school and brought some decorations that i had some creative ideas as to how to design the top. Added the sash around it to make it look more professional and a bow on top my theme color for the wedding was purple.

I actually astound myself as to how good it actually turned out purely the cake was make with love in mind.
